Taarana Featured in Forbes Asia

Taarana was in the spotlight recently in the November 2012 issue of Forbes Asia, in a special write-up that applauds the school’s efforts in providing a brighter future for children with special learning needs.

The article featured Taarana as one of the first schools in Malaysia to combine a traditional curriculum with a wide range of therapies based on dance, art and music. Despite current public schools falling short of providing the education that these children need and cultural views that might undermine the importance of such an education, Taarana has stepped in to fill in this gap and bring light and hope to these children.  

Dato’ Seri Vijay Eswaran, Executive Chairman of the QI Group and the man behind the establishment of the school, was quoted by Forbes, saying that volunteering at Taarana and other charities is not part of our employees’ job description but it is, “encouraged, as a part of our culture.”
