Taarana School’s Engaging Hari Raya Celebration

13/05/2024

We celebrated not just the traditions but the spirit of togetherness.

Taarana School recently embraced the essence of Hari Raya Aidilfitri in a vibrant celebration filled with cultural richness and colourful expressions. The occasion exuded joy and camaraderie, weaving a warm tapestry of tradition and festivity for our students and staff.

The celebration was marked by enthusiastic participation from students and staff in various activities – starting with a short video about Hari Raya’s cherished traditions and customs.

The event buzzed with games and activities, amplifying the day’s festivities. Our students eagerly engaged in various games, including pulling a schoolmate on a mat, sticking stickers on a board, decorating a cardboard cutout of a mosque, and enjoying the playful ‘slipper throw.’

Other activities also beckoned, including learning the art of ketupat by colouring drawings of the quintessential Hari Raya treat and the anticipation of picking mystery gifts from a box.

“Today, we celebrated not just the traditions but the spirit of togetherness that defines our community at Taarana,” Principal Dr Sunitha Sivakumaran said.

Every celebration at Taarana is an opportunity for children to learn and grow while having fun. Our activities and games are thoughtfully designed to bring smiles to their faces and nurture their cognitive development.

“As they engaged in the festivities of Hari Raya, they also exercised their minds, fostering skills that will serve them well beyond the day’s festivities,” Dr Sunitha added.
