Special needs education is crucial to addressing the unique needs of differently-abled children. Taarana School, managed by RYTHM Foundation, the social impact arm of the QI Group, has been at the forefront of providing high-quality education to children with a range of special needs.

Recently, the Head of RYTHM, Santhi Periasamy, and Taarana’s Principal, Dr Sunitha Sivakumaran, welcomed the Board members of the QI Group to the school.

During their visit, Dr Sunitha and her team of teachers and therapists provided the Board of Directors with a comprehensive tour of the facilities. The staff also introduced the visitors to the various progressive and innovative programmes Taarana offers to help children reach their full potential.

The directors had the opportunity to engage with the children in their classrooms and activity rooms, where they gained a deeper understanding of the programmes and therapy options.

Taarana’s holistic educational, therapeutic and interventional programmes meet the diverse needs of differently-abled children, including those with learning, developmental, and behavioural issues. The programmes aim to help these children realise their capabilities and foster their personal and social development and academic progress.

The directors emerged from the visit with a deeper understanding of the significance of special education and the crucial role that Taarana plays in providing its students with the skills they need to lead fulfilling lives. In appreciation of the visit, the children of Taarana made and presented ‘Thank you’ cards to the visitors. Talented student Joel Joshua also performed a song for them.

The visit was a powerful reminder of the impact of special education on the lives of the differently-abled and the importance of providing them access to high-quality education.

Taarana’s programmes are an excellent example of how education can help children with special needs achieve their full potential. The school’s commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment is a testament to its dedication to improving their lives.
