16 May 2026, Petaling Jaya- The Dewan Serbaguna MBPJ SS3 was filled with roaring cheers, bright smiles, and an unstoppable wave of energy as Taarana hosted its highly anticipated Annual Sports Day 2026.

As a centre dedicated to supporting children with special learning needs, this annual event is a powerful testament to our ongoing commitment to empowerment, inclusion, and community spirit.

Taarana’s Marching Proudly Under a Heroic Theme

This year theme was “Guardians of the Nation.” Inspired by the strength, unity, discipline, and resilience of Malaysia’s army, navy, and air force, the event reflected the deep courage and togetherness embodied by every single Taarana’s student.

The day kicked off with a lively, high-spirited march-past. Our students proudly paraded in their vibrant team colours, representing three enthusiastic factions:

• G-Force
• Little Red Navy
• Blue-sky Warrior

The unity and pride displayed by the students during the opening march set an energetic and joyful tone for the rest of the day.

Following the opening ceremony, the arena transformed into a hub of excitement with a series of action-packed games. These activities were thoughtfully designed to challenge and develop the students’ coordination, agility, and teamwork.

Our young athletes eagerly participated in a variety of fun, themed games, including:

• Army Training: Navigating colourful courses with determination, grit, and a lot of smiles.
• Rainbow Run: A bright and joyful dash where students navigated colourful courses with readiness
• Cone Relay: A relay race that tests speed and coordination.
• Catch the Stick: A game that builds sharp reflexes and quick movement

From skilfully jumping through hoops to carefully rolling big tyres, every student showcased incredible hard work, focus, and physical coordination.

The atmosphere buzzed with joyful energy. Teachers, parents, and friends cheered enthusiastically from the sidelines, creating a supportive, high-spirited environment where effort and fun blended seamlessly.

Strengthening Bonds: The Parent-Child Challenge

One of the highlights of the day was the heartwarming parent-child relay challenge. This year, families faced off in the “Pelikat Race.”

Laughter filled the hall as parents and their children stepped into a single pelikat sarong, working in perfect tandem to walk and race together. This game showcased teamwork, trust, and enthusiasm, making it a deeply memorable moment for everyone involved.

The memorable day concluded with a vibrant prize-giving ceremony. Every student and participant was applauded and celebrated, not just for winning, but for their incredible effort, resilience, and sportsmanship.
