In conjunction with Deepavali, QI Malaysia and Vijayaratnam Foundation recently collaborated with Vivekananda Margam to carry out a CSR activity themed ‘Bring Light to the Less Privileged during the Festival of Lights’.

More than 50 QI Malaysia staff participated in this event, aimed to provide the less fortunate with necessities for the Deepavali celebrations. The event was held on Saturday, 7th November 2015.
Vivekananda Margam is an organisation that serves the poor and the sick. Some of their projects include the Shelter Home, Food Aid and School.

Over 40 families registered under the Food Aid Project benefited from this QI initiative where they received bags of rice, cooking oil, eggs, flour, sugar, biscuits and many others.
QI staff were assigned to segregate food items to various locations all over the Klang Valley based on recipient locations.

The recipients were pleased to receive the food items and welcomed the company of QI staff.
On the other hand, QI staff members were grateful for the opportunity to contribute as it helped in raising awareness of the situations of others and taught them invaluable lessons in life.
